Recent Appointments and Accreditations TRIALS AND RESEARCH To support the continued growth of research across the organisation, Associate Professor Stefan Dieleman has been appointed Clinical Director – Trials and Research. Working alongside him is Mayra Ouriques, our new Operations Manager – Trials and Research, who brings more than 20 years’ experience leading clinical research programs. Together they will support the expansion of the Clinical Trials Unit beyond oncology while strengthening research governance across the hospital. Alison Carlin has joined the San as Business Director – Perioperative Services, bringing extensive perioperative leadership experience from Northern Beaches Hospital and expertise in theatre optimisation and surgical efficiency. Julian Kueh, previously Theatre Manager, has been appointed Associate Director – Perioperative Services, providing operational leadership across our complex perioperative services and working closely with Alison to align strategy and service delivery. These roles were formed following the retirement of Catherine Murphy. PERIOPERATIVE SERVICES Over the past 12 months, Sydney Adventist Hospital has welcomed a number of experienced leaders into key executive and clinical leadership positions, further strengthening our commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, research and operational excellence. Alison Carlin Julian Kueh Stefan Dieleman Mayra Ouriques Hospital News CHILDREN’S SERVICES Jody Dales has been appointed Nurse Unit Manager for the Children’s Ward, Sleep Studies and Special Care Nursery. Jody joins the San from The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, where she developed extensive paediatric and neonatal nursing experience together with proven leadership capability. INFORMATION SERVICES Dr Yuanee Wickramasinghe has joined the Information Services team as our new Medical Informatics Doctor Liaison Officer. Yuanee takes over from Dr Bronwyn Gaut, and we extend our sincere thanks to Bronwyn for her outstanding contribution in establishing and supporting this important role. Going forward, Yuanee will be the primary point of contact for Information Services training for medical staff and will work closely with clinicians to support the effective use of the hospital’s digital systems and enhance patient care. CRITICAL CARE The former Director Specialties role has been retitled Director – Critical Care, reflecting an enhanced strategic focus. Stevi Jones has been appointed to the position, bringing extensive operational leadership experience, expertise in critical care and clinical governance, and a strong focus on patient experience. PEOPLE AND CULTURE Christine Tait Lees has joined the Executive Team as Chief People Officer after a distinguished 26-year career with NSW Health. Christine brings extensive experience in strategic workforce leadership, organisational culture and people development, and will lead the hospital’s people strategy to support our staff, leaders and future workforce.
