Profile
Dr Jon Liew is an Australian-trained orthopaedic surgeon whose elective practice is dedicated exclusively to the knee. He provides individualised care for adults and children with sporting injuries, arthritis and other knee conditions.
Dr Liew completed his specialist training through the Australian Orthopaedic Association, followed by subspecialty fellowship training in Adult and Paediatric Knee Surgery, with time spent at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. His clinical interests include ACL and other ligament reconstruction, knee replacement, meniscal repair, cartilage restoration and patellofemoral instability. He also treats paediatric knee conditions, fractures and traumatic injuries.
Honesty, open communication and attention to detail are central to his approach. Dr Liew takes time to understand each patient's symptoms and goals, explain their diagnosis and discuss surgical and non-surgical options. When surgery is appropriate, he emphasises meticulous planning and ongoing support throughout recovery.
