Profile
Dr Jessica Barker is a Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Specialist and a General Paediatrician. She received her degree through the University of New England (BMED) in 2013. She completed General Paediatric training through John Hunter Children's Hospital in Newcastle, followed by Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine fellowships in four tertiary childrens' hospitals - John Hunter Children's Hospital, Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick, Queensland Children's Hospital and The Children's Hospital at Westmead.
Dr Jess is passionate about holistic care for children and young people. She cares about making healthcare understandable, accessible and practical for children and their families. She has countless areas of interest, though particularly in asthma, recurrent chest infections, narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnoea, ADHD, infant concerns such as weight gain, and complex syndromes.
Research
Dr Barker has a strong interest in Bioethics and trauma-informed care.
