Profile
Dr Bokhari is an Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon with a sub-specialty focus on hip, knee and trauma surgery. He completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales graduating with a Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Medical Studies. He also completed a Master of Surgery at the University of Sydney, and then completed his orthopaedic surgery training in NSW to become a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Dr Bokhari has subsequently completed several sub-specialty fellowships in Europe including a Complex Primary and Revision Hip and Knee Replacement Fellowship at the ENDO-KLINIK in Hamburg, Germany; a Sports Knee Fellowship at Gelenkpunkt FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence in Innsbruk, Austria; and a Pelvic/Acetabular Trauma and Joint Replacement Fellowship at Paris St Joseph Hospital in Paris, France.
Dr Bokhari hopes to use his broad experience to offer a patient-centred approach that provides the best possible solution for individual problems.
Research
Dr Bokhari is actively involved in research with multiple publications in journals and presentations at international level meetings. He reviews journal articles for several high-quality orthopaedic surgery journals. He also supervises and teaches junior surgical trainees through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Australia and NZ Surgical Skills Education and Training (ASSET) course. He is currently completing a graduate certificate in Surgical Education through the University of Melbourne.
