Our Services

Visiting a Patient

Visiting Hours

10.00am - 8.00pm

We believe that family and friends are important to patient recovery. Should you wish to visit outside of these hours, this may be arranged with the nursing staff following admission.

Coronary Care Unit (CCU) & Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Because of the special treatment needs of patients in Intensive Care and Coronary Care, we ask that immediate family only visit with a limit of 2 visitors at a time.

Infection Prevention & Control

Hand hygiene is the single most important thing you can do to help prevent the spread of infection. Hand hygiene is a general term referring to the use of soap and water or alcohol hand gel to cleanse your hands.  See our Hand Hygiene for Patients & Visitors flyer for more information.

Visitors are requested to wash their hands:

  • On entering the ward before visiting a friend or relative
  • Before helping a patient with their meal
  • After using the bathroom/toilet
  • After helping patients use the toilet/bathroom or commode
  • On leaving the ward after visiting a friend or relative

Thank you

Practicing good hand hygiene both in hospital and other healthcare facilities can protect patients, relatives and staff from infection.
