Celebrating our San Specialists

Last week, Sydney Adventist Hospital hosted the 2026 San AMO Gala Dinner at the iconic Sydney Opera House – a special evening dedicated to celebrating our San specialists and the important contribution they make to our hospital and community.

The Gala brought together many of our doctors and their partners for an evening of connection, celebration and recognition, and was the first major event of its kind since before COVID.

Hosted by much-loved Australian broadcaster and entertainer Myf Warhurst, the evening provided an opportunity for guests to reconnect with colleagues, build new relationships across specialties and enjoy time together outside of their busy clinical lives.

Adventist HealthCare CEO Brett Goods thanked our Accredited Medical Officers (AMOs) for the expertise, leadership and commitment they bring to the San, and acknowledged the important support of their partners and families.

The evening also reflected on the strong partnership between the San and its doctors, celebrating what has been achieved together and looking ahead to the important role our medical community will continue to play in shaping the San’s future.

Chief Medical Officer Dr Nicole Phillips announced the nominees for the 2026 San Spirit AMO Awards, recognising doctors nominated by fellow doctors, San staff and volunteers for going above and beyond in their contribution to patients, colleagues, the San and the wider community.
