Novus Foundation Gala Dinner, Saturday May 29

The Novus Foundation Gala Dinner, held on Saturday night, May 29 2010 at Miramere Gardens in Terrey Hills, was a wonderful success. Among many worthwhile causes, the dinner was a fundraiser for the San's Healthcare Outreach program.

Federal Opposition Leader Tony Abbott and State Member for Ku-ring-gai Barry O'Farrell were amongst 550 guests at the dinner which raised close to $150,000 for programs to change the lives of young people.
 
The partnership between Wahroonga Rotary and McCarroll's Automotive, and supported by the San Hospital, the Novus Foundation 2010 Appeal was fundraising for organisations that run programs to provide safety awareness and leadership training, mentoring and medical support to young people, both locally and internationally. Recipients of the funds included StreetWork, Wahroonga Rotary Youth programs, the PCYC Hornsby's new Centre for Performing Arts and the HealthCare Outreach Program of the San.  
 
The evening was hosted by Novus Ambassador Former Wallaby Ambassador Nick Farr Jones and attendees included Federal Opposition Leader Tony Abbott, and his wife Margie, Novus Chairman Mr Phil McCarroll and partner Sheriden, Nick Farr-Jones and his wife Angie, Novus Patron Mr Barry O'Farrell and his wife Rosemary, Federal Member for Bradfield Mr Paul Fletcher, State member for Willoughby Gladys Berejiklian, and Mayor of Hornsby Nick Berman.
