Congratulations to the San Cyclists

Congratulations to the 24 San Cyclists who rode in the Bobbin Head Cycle Classic over the weekend.

The event organised by the Rotary clubs of Kur-ring-gai, Wahroonga, St Ives and Turramurra is held annually to raise funds for Lifeline.

This year’s San Cyclist team led by San CEO Brett Goods, consisted of doctors, executive, nurses and other health professionals from the San community raising a total of $5,005.20.

Cyclists rode between 57 and 104km through Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, Bobbin Head, West Head and Akuna Bay.

In the hill climb section of the course which is known as ‘King, Queen and Team of the Mountain’, the San team placed 6th overall. Team members placing individually included Brad Townend at 4th, Doug Parker at 12th and Lucy Robinson, the 5th highest female placing 116th overall.

Currently a total of $109,581 has been raised from the event.
