San gynaecologist Dr Bevan Brown discusses a new treatment for Adenomyosis on 2GB

Women's menstrual cycles are a topic we often don't like to talk about, but should all be sympathetic too.

Suffering from severe pain and heavy bleeding that can be crippling, is common for 25% of women, which has an effect on their ability to work, study, form relationships, play sport or even leave the house.

Sadly for some, a hysterectomy has been an extreme but the only option to treat the problem.

A new study published by the prestigious Royal Australian and New Xealand College of Obstetricians and Gynacologists, confirms that a non-surgical procedure known as Uterine Artery Embolisation could be the answer for women suffering with the debilitating condition.
