Dr Christos Apostolou talks to 2GB about Silent Reflux and Barretts Oesophagus

Unfortunately up to 20% of us are affected by a condition called acid reflux, where stomach contents come back up the oesophagus unpleasently causing a taste of acid in the back of the mouth, heartburn, chest pain, vomiting and breathing problems.

For others, the symptoms of acid reflux aren't so obvious, and in fact they are slient, with the risk that if left untreated it can cause Barrett's Oesophagus which has a strong link to the development of cancer.

Talking to 2GB's Steve Price, Dr Christos Apostolou talks about the causes, symptoms and treatment options available for both Silent Reflux and Barrett's Oesophagus
