Nurse Practitioners Enhance the Provision of Quality Patient Care at the San

Years of specialised training by two Sydney Adventist Hospital nurses is being recognised by their profession through endorsement as Nurse Practitioners.
 

The San Oncology Ward’s Julie Edwards has been endorsed as a nurse practitioner in palliative care while Megan Greig from the San’s Emergency Care expects her endorsement shortly.
 

A Nurse Practitioner is a Registered Nurse who has completed a Masters Degree and participated in extensive clinical training to expand the traditional role of a Registered Nurse. They use extended skills, knowledge and experience to assess, diagnose, plan and evaluate patient care.
