Dr Noushi is a Breast Surgeon specialising in oncoplastic and minimal access breast surgery for the treatment of breast cancer. He performs a wide range of breast oncological and reconstructive procedures, which include extended breast conservation, advanced sentinel node biopsy techniques, breast reduction and therapeutic mammaplasty and implant breast reconstruction. Dr Noushi is also a surgical oncologist and general surgeon with extensive experience in skin cancer, laparoscopic hernia, gallbladder, gastrointestinal surgery and endoscopy. Dr Noushi’s private practice is based on the North Shore. He is a clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney and continues his research interests in breast lymphoscintigraphy, sentinel lymph node evaluation and internal mammary lymph nodes. He is also a mentor to the next generation of surgeons and has been appointed a supervisor of surgical training at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr Noushi completed his medical training in 1996 when he graduated with honours in medicine and surgery. He then undertook over 6 years of General Surgical training through the Austin & Repatriation Hospital, Melbourne. After his training he also achieved a Masters of Surgery at the University of Melbourne. In 2005, Dr Noushi was appointed the Clinical Superintendent in Surgery at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and undertook post-fellowship training over 2 years in Laparoscopic, Colorectal Surgery and Surgical Oncology. During his post-fellowship work, Dr Noushi developed a special interest in breast oncology surgery and subsequently undertook further training and research in Breast Oncology at the NSW Cancer Institute, Royal North Shore and Mater Hospitals. Where he gained extensive experience in breast cancer surgery including oncoplastic surgery and implant reconstruction. He was also granted the Cancer Institute Fellowship Award, John Collins Gold Medal from the ANZBCTG, several travel and research grants for his work in internal mammary sentinel node biopsy. Dr Noushi and his staff are committed to providing high quality individualised care for all his patients; focusing on patient comfort, education and well-being. Dr Noushi uses state-of-the art proven techniques (both surgical and non-surgical) in caring for all his patients, resulting in excellent health outcomes.


Dr Noushi has published works in breast and general surgery. He is currently involved in research in breast lymphoscintigraphy, sentinel lymph node biopsy and internal mammary lymph node biopsy. Dr Noushi has completed trials in breast lymphoscintigraphy, which have been practice changing.
