Where to Eat

There are a number of eating facilities to choose from at the San. In addition, there are snack and beverage vending machines located throughout the hospital as well as on Level 4 behind the lifts and in the San Cafe. Patients also have the option of ordering a Guest Meal Tray to be delivered to their room at meal times for their visitors. This can be arranged through the Nutrition Assistant who visits each patient daily.

Located on Level 4 at the rear of the hospital building, the SanCafé offers contemporary vegetarian cuisine in a self-serve, buffet style setting. The SanCafé is open throughout the day for hot and cold beverages, fresh fruit, sandwiches, cakes, pastries and confectionery items. Hot food and salad bar options are available during designated hours listed below.

The San Snax Snack Bar is located in the Main Foyer on Level 4.

It offers a variety of tasty vegetarian snacks including sandwiches and wraps, pies, cakes and pastries, and confectionary items, as well as cold and hot beverages.  Patients and visitors are welcome to sit and relax, and read one of the various complementary magazines or purchase a newspaper. Food and beverages are also available to take away.

San Snax is a major fundraising venture by the Help Team Volunteers with proceeds going towards buying medical equipment for the benefit of Hospital patients.

Relish Café is located on the Ground Floor (Level 3) of the San Clinic. This gourmet café offers a range of tasty dishes, fine coffee and beverages. Patrons can dine at a table inside or on the balcony overlooking the adjoining bushland, or choose takeaway.
