 Profile:  Dr Birman's practice covers both general paediatric and adult ENT and sub-specialty areas. She completed a paediatric ENT Fellowship in 1997. She co-runs Australia's first paediatric voice clinic at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. Dr Birman is one of Sydney's leading cochlear implant surgeons, working with the Sydney Cochlear Implant Centre. Dr Birman's interests also include FESS surgery, and general paediatric ENT of glue ear, obstructive sleep apnoea and tonsillitis.
 
 Research:  Dr Birman has specific interest and expertise in Cochlear implants. She is also interested in Paediatric ENT, including obstructive sleep apnoea, glue ear and auditory problems. She has much experience in adult ENT including sinusitis, ear problems and voice problems.
