 Profile:  Dr Allen completed MB BS at University of Sydney in 1979, and FRACP (Ped) in 1984. He became a Professional Registrar at The Children's Hospital in 1983, and a Fellow in Respiratory Medicine there in 1984. His is currently Senior Staff Specialist in Paediatrics at Royal North Shore Hospital; Honorary Consultant in Respiratory Medicine at The Childrens Hospital; Honorary Paediatrician at Sydney Childrens Hospital; Visiting Paediatrician at Sydney Adventist Hospital; and Paediatrician, The Childrens Sleep Disorder Unit, Sydney Adventist Hospital. Dr Allen is married with 2 children.
 
 Research:  Dr Allen's research interests include Asthma and Sleep Medicine, management of acute asthma, and recurrent hospitalisation. His interests in Sleep include the use of CPAP, chronic lung disease and chronic cough.
