 Profile:  Dr Vaux has worked in a number of hospitals throughout his career. He was a Resident Medical Officer at the Prince of Wales / Prince Henry Hospital; an Anatomy Demonstrator at the University of Leicester, UK; Surgical Registrar at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and Northampton General Hospital, UK; Urological Registrar at Concord Repatriation General Hospital and Prince Henry Hospital; Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) in Urology at SAH, Royal North Shore, Mona Vale, Manly and North Shore Private Hospitals; Past Treasurer of the Urological Society of Australasia; and is a Member of the American Urological Association. He is currently Head of Urology at Royal North Shore Hospital. Dr Vaux has obtained special training in the US involving implantation of penile prostheses and artificial urinary sphincters, neobladders and new surgical techniques of radical prostatectomy. He has major interests in Uro-oncology, Female Urology and Urodynamics.
 
 Research:  Dr Vaux is involved in research with the Physiology Department at the University of New South Wales, researching Neuro-muscular Receptors in the Bladder.
