| Profile | : | Dr Bergersen graduated from University of Adelaide in 1981, and trained in Urology in Sydney between 1987 - 1989. He completed post-graduate training at Nijmegen University, The Netherlands, after becoming a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1990. He established a practice in urological surgery at Chatswood in 1992, and is currently appointed to Sydney Adventist, North Shore Private, Royal North Shore, Hornsby and Ryde hospitals. He is a Member of the Urology Oncology Program, European Association of Urology, American Urological Association, Society International d'Urologie, as well as the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand. He is an active member of the Multidisciplinary Cancer Team at the San and at Royal North Shore Hospital. He has special interest in urological oncology including radical prostatectomy, cystectomy, and bladder substitution, and laparoscopic nephrectomy. For some years he has been involved with Holmium Laser Prostatectomy and recently also with Greenlight Laser. | |||
