 Profile:  James Younessi is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in exclusive private practice in Hornsby. He obtained his qualifications in pathology and dentistry from the University of Melbourne and then completed post graduate training at Westmead Hospital in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He completed his Master's qualifications whilst a Registrar at Western Sydney Hospitals and then undertook further training overseas, culminating in Fellowships of the College of Surgeons of England and Ireland. He operates at Sydney Adventist Hospital and San Day Surgery Hornsby, and practices the full scope of his surgical discipline.
 
 Research:  Dr Younessi has specific interests in Trauma, Dento-Alveolar Surgery, Facial Reconstructive Surgery, Implant Surgery, and Salivary Gland Pathology. He has authored scientific articles and is a peer reviewer for surgical journals. He has also published two books, one a series of short stories called "From Threads to Fabric", and the other a book on the Australian vernacular called "How Australian Are You?" He is presently working on a novel.
