 Profile:  A/Prof Brian Owler is an Australian trained Neurosurgeon and offers a comprehensive neurosurgical service covering both paediatric and adult conditions. He is trained in both cranial neurosurgical conditions as well as spinal disorders. A/Prof Owler holds the position of Associate Professor of Nuerosurgery, Discipline of Paediatrics and Child Health, Children's Hospital at Westmead Clinical School, University of Sydney. He has also established the Kid's Neurosurgical Research Unit at the Children's Hospital at Westmead which conducts both basic science and clinical research. A/Prof Owler special interests include tumours of the brain and spine, complex spinal disorders such as basilar invagination, hydrocephalus and psuedtumor cerebri. He is involved in several clinical studies including those on the topic of normal pressure hydrocephalus and deep brain stimulation surgery for the treatment of cerebral palsy. A/Prof Owler practices at Westmead Hospital, Westmead Private Hospital, Sydney Adventist Hospital and Norwest Private Hospital.
