Sydney Adventist Hospital’s governance and management structure includes the Hospital’s Board of Directors, Executive Team, and operational Directors and Managers who oversee the more than 2,200 staff and 700 doctors who practice here.
The Sydney Adventist Hospital Board of Directors provides oversight of hospital management, approves the yearly budget, major development plans, and medical specialists’ requests for accreditation to practice at the Hospital. The Board holds meetings regularly throughout the year including numerous sub-committee meetings to review specific facets of the business. Being a Board Member is an unpaid volunteer position. Members are recruited by the Nominating Committee and are elected by the entire Board for five-year terms.
The current members serving on our Board are community leaders with experience in various organisations and bring expert knowledge in areas such as the Australian Healthcare industry, business, finance, human resources, and medicine.
