San Education runs a Refresher Course for Registered Nurses wishing to achieve personal goals associated with commencing or returning to the acute care setting. A Refresher Course is also run for Enrolled Nurses.
The course is 25 days in duration, over 8 weeks in total. There is a clinical component of 14 days, and a classroom component of 11 days.
All applications need to include:
- The course fee
- The signed Working with Children Check Consent Form - please print this form and send it in, do not complete online
- A photocopy of your current Nursing Registration (original to be sighted by Refresher Co-ordinator on first day of the course if you are a successful applicant). If your nursing registration has conditions please attach a copy of these conditions.
- Completed immunisation form and immunisation checklist
- Passport photo
- CV with details of clinical history
Pre-admission Requirements for this course are:
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as RN or EN for the duration of the course - essential
- Australian residency status
- 100 Point Identification check - please refer to this form and bring the relevant original documents on your first day.

The courses are run over 3 days each week, and 4 days in the final week. The exact days for each course will vary, and will be confirmed closer to the commencement of each course.
