Professional Recognition Program

The Professional Recognition Program is the first of its kind in any NSW hospital.  This program is specifically designed for registered nurses/midwives and enrolled nurses employed at Sydney Adventist Hospital Ltd.

It is a method of documenting evidence of our competence as nurses and provides a clear pathway for development of higher skills and responsibilities.  Each stage of this program provides recognition and reward for attainment of a higher level. Registered nurses/midwives and enrolled nurses at Sydney Adventist Hospital Ltd are valued for their level of expertise and they are recognised for their contribution to providing the best care possible to our patients.

In this way we continue our mission with Christianity in Action – Caring for the body, mind and spirit of our patients, colleagues, community and ourselves. Thus helping us to remain our community's favourite private hospital.

The Professional Recognition Program is designed to reward and recognise nurses who provide excellence in patient care. Annual structured rewards, outline in the table below, are also supported by other forms of informal recognition.
