Coming into Hospital brings with it lots of questions and sometimes anxiety. Here at the San, we want to help you be as well prepared as possible for your stay. Hopefully this section will provide you with answers to some of the more common questions you may have. Prior to Coming to Hospital

    What to Bring to Hospital
There are some essential items you need to bring with you to Hospital.
    Pre Admission Clinic (PAC)
Your doctor may have asked you to attend the PAC. Please see here for further details.
    Preparing for Surgery
This is a general guide about what to expect prior to your surgery and once you are in Hospital.
    Planning for your Discharge
It is important that you plan for your discharge before you are admitted to Hospital.
    Maternity Bookings
Expectant Mothers who wish to have their baby at Sydney Adventist Hospital are required to make an appointment with the Maternity Bookings Office.

Your own private doctor is responsible for your medical treatment while you are in hospital, and is the doctor with whom you should discuss treatment
    Your Medications
You are encouraged to bring all your own medication and prescriptions, including repeats, into hospital with you, along with any documentation from your general practitioner.

Sydney Adventist Hospital is committed to delivering the highest possible standard of health care. As a patient you have certain rights when seeking medical treatment and care. You also have responsibilities related to that treatment and care.
