Jacaranda Lodge is a “home away from home” for those requiring low cost accommodation, and is located on-site at Sydney Adventist Hospital. We can provide accommodation for patients undergoing regular treatments such as Radiotherapy, or who wish to be close to the hospital the night prior to their admission; for family members while a patient is in hospital; and for staff, conference attendees, guests and the general public. For a minimal cost, this 28 room facility offers a relaxed and supportive environment for families. Twin or triple bedrooms with ensuite can accommodate a patient and carer, or family members of a patient. There are also 2 self-contained units which are able to accommodate families with young children. There are four large, sunny kitchen, dining and family room areas within the Lodge, and laundry facilities are available for guests. Jacaranda Lodge has been designed around an open courtyard, and there is also a separate Meditation Garden where guests are able to relax and meditate.
Jacaranda Lodge residents are welcome to cook their own meals in one of the self-contained kitchens. There are also a number of facilities within the Hospital for those who do not wish to cook, including San Café, the San Snax Snack Bar and Relish Café.
At the San we believe that patients should not have to experience the loneliness of separation from their family and carers during a hospital stay. There are opportunities for families to meet and share with others undergoing similar experiences. We also provide access to all hospital-based services such as the Cancer Support Centre, Social Workers and Chaplains, and our residents are welcome to use the Hospital tennis courts and swimming pool.

The map below shows the location of Jacaranda Lodge on the Sydney Adventist Hospital estate. We are located at the rear of the estate, near the Tennis Courts and the Beattie Complex.
Parking is available on-site for residents’ cars. There is a small set of shops within walking distance of the Lodge. Shorelink buses run from the Hospital train stations at Turramurra, Thornleigh and Hornsby.
