Parking & Hospital Access
Award winning car park
A new multi-deck car park adjoins the Entry Building with space for more than 800 cars and provides under cover access to the Entry Building.
Visually, the car park appears transparent to the south, east and west through a series of perforated panels, designed to allow maximum ventilation while providing a suitable fall barrier. To the north, a series of precast concrete radiant heat shields provide bushfire protection and framed views to bushland. The concrete blades are orientated to shield parked vehicles from the severe heat predicted in an extreme bushfire event.
MBMO Architects were shortlisted to the top five car parks in the world in the 2014 A+A Awards for the Sydney Adventist Hospital Car Park - an international award with entries from over 100 countries.
Making a remarkable entrance
The new entry building to the Sydney Adventist Hospital campus provides a central access point from the new car park to the main hospital buildings. Its bright and open design maximises natural light and maintains our connection with nature.
