Clinical Placements & Work Experience

Sydney Adventist Hospital provides a variety of Clinical Placements for students studying in the Nursing and Allied Health professions. We may also be able to provide work experience for Year 10 High School / TVET students.

 

All students of all disciplines who attend SAH for their clinical placement must provide details of criminal record clearance and vaccination record as per NSW Health Policy Directive PD2011_005.


Nursing Placements

At SAH we welcome nursing students from many different universities and offer a wide variety of medical, surgical, maternity, emergency care and critical care experiences. International nursing students are also welcome to apply. There is a small fee for international and interstate students. Clinical placements are subject to availability.

Allied Health Student Placements

Allied Health and Medical placements are coordinated by the appropriate department and the university involved. All enquiries should be directed through the SAH Clinical School Placement Coordinator.

 

Student Information

All students entering the hospital must comply with hospital policy in line with the Sydney Adventist Hospital student information brochure. Any additional requirements for individual disciplines will be provided prior to student entry.

 

Medical Students

The University of Sydney SAH Clinical School has been operational since February 2011 and currently has 40 Medical students across Stage 1 and Stage 2 and will continue to grow forward.  All enquiries should be directed through the SAH Clinical School Placement Coordinator.
