Certificate IV Training and Assessment TAE40110 & Certificate IV TAA Upgrade

The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 course is tailored to the needs of all healthcare workers, especially those employed as clinical facilitators, team leaders, nurse educators, CNS’s, preceptors and Department/Nursing Unit Managers.

 

By undertaking the TAA you will extend your knowledge and skills relating to workplace training and assessment, which can assist you in many roles including:

  • Training and assessing colleagues and students in the workplace
  • Supervising apprentices and traineeships
  • Supervising students who are on clinical block or are supernumerary
  • Writing and validating competencies
  • Fulfilling requirements for many educational jobs such as teaching at TAFE and university
  • Quality initiatives
  • Demonstrating use of new products / equipment

This course is conducted throughout the year on site at Sydney Adventist Hospital in the San Education Training Rooms (Beattie Complex).

 

Course Components:

Eight classroom days providing essential knowledge in preparation for a range of short design, delivery and assessment tasks. Outside of allocated class time participants should plan on up to 190 hours of self paced learning.

 

Email and telephone support is available as required for communication with trainers and assessors where flexible tuition, guidance, and feedback are required.
