Since its inception in 1903, Sydney Adventist Hospital has been aided by significant community support. In 1987 SAH Foundation Inc. was established and challenged to assist the Hospital in its mission to serve the community.
The Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation with all gifts to the Hospital wholly directed to cause nominated by the donor. In the past thirteen years donors have enabled the Foundation to provide new facilities, services and technology to the Hospital.
Jacaranda Lodge our home away from home for cancer and country patients, has been a major focus for the SAH Foundation over the past five years. This facility, located on the hospital grounds, provides low cost accommodation for patients receiving out-patient treatment and families of Hospital in-patients. The Lodge was built and furnished through donations to the SAH Foundation. When demand for Jacaranda Lodge outweighed availability the Foundation mounted a second fundraising campaign to extend the Lodge. Today Jacaranda Lodge has the capacity to accommodate over 50 people.
The Daisy has been adopted as the symbol of SAH Foundation. The Daisy signifies loyal love which forms the basis of family. We consider SAH Foundation and its community to be a family working together to make an investment in your health.
You make it possible for us to make a difference.
