At San Radiology, patient care represents our core focus. In addition to traditional levels of service, San Radiology provides further layers of care. In the setting of an unexpected or significant finding, subject to the referrer’s consent, our radiologists are able to initiate further diagnostic tests or refer the patient on to Emergency Care at Sydney Adventist Hospital. For interventional procedures, the full support and availability of an acute care general surgical hospital will provide patients and referrer with peace of mind.
In line with its core mission, San Radiology maintains itself at the cutting edge of medical imaging technology and enables our experienced team of radiographers and radiologists to provide a best practice level of service to their patients.
San Radiology was one of the first hospital-based practices in Australia to implement an enterprise-wide Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to facilitate immediate access to medical images once a study is completed. Some of our referrers also utilise our web based image distribution service (Web1000) to access images and reports as soon as they are available. We also provide the facility to automatically download reports to referring doctors' practice management systems (eg. Medical Director). Using these state-of-the-art tools we are able to partner with our referring doctors to maintain a continuum of patient care.
