San Day Infusion Centre
Chemotherapy treatment is now often given on an outpatient or day-only patient basis. Sydney Adventist Hospital recently opened the new San Day Infusion Centre in April 2009 providing a bright, new day treatment area on campus where various treatments, given over a few hours, can be administered.
The new Centre incorporates 11 chairs, including one private room
Specialist oncology nurses administer chemotherapy regimes and bookings are taken from Monday-Friday. Other common treatments administered in the San Day Infusion Centre include blood transfusions and short drug infusions. If overnight stay or weekend treatment is required, patients may be admitted to our ‘Poon Oncology Ward’.
Location & Opening Hours
The new Centre operates from Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm from Level 4 in the San Clinic. Undercover parking is available for San Clinic patients, with direct access to the building. A small fee is charged for parking at Sydney Adventist Hospital, both in the San Clinic and general Hospital car parks.
