Day Infusion Treatments

San Day Infusion Centre

The San Day Infusion Centre provides infusions for many different specialties and diseases.  Chemotherapy treatment is often given as an inpatient day-only procedure. The San Day Infusion Centre, which opened in the San Clinic in April 2009, provides a bright day treatment area on campus where various treatments, given over a few hours, can be administered.

The purpose-built facility incorporates 11 chairs and one private room, and maximises patient comfort by providing comfortable electronic chairs and an abundance of natural light along with a beautiful treescape view.

Treatments provided at the Day Infusion Centre include chemotherapy regimens administered by specialist oncology nurses, blood transfusions, and other specialist drug infusions for different disorders and diseases. An orientation program is offered weekly for new patients undergoing chemotherapy. If overnight stay or weekend treatment is required, patients may be admitted to our Poon Oncology Ward.

In 2008 Sydney Adventist Hospital purchased Sydney Haematology & Oncology Clinic (SHOC) in Hornsby. In January 2011 the SHOC service, including staff, relocated on-site to become part of the San Day Infusion Centre and expand the services offered to our patients.
